Please give us a short summary of your website?
My website is a way for people around the world to receive spiritual and psychic guidance, in there lives, from the spiritual world.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
All my life I have communicated with the spiritual world, and helped people through spirit communication. My website was a way to extend that into the world and help more people.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
In 2004 I launched my website. NZ Medium, Carin Anderson Spiritual Medium.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
The name NZ Medium, came from my thoughts of helping people between the two worlds, the spirit world and the earthly world. I transfer messages from one to the other. So I am in the middle, ie, medium, between the two. I am also from New Zealand, so "NZ" for short.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
My website explains who I am, what my purpose is in this life with my work, and how I help people. I designed the website myself and the logo, with the idea again of, "NZ Medium" between the two worlds.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
My website will never be sold, it is there to guide and help people, it is a tool to do that.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
This is my lifes work, for the amount of hours I have put in over the last 25 plus years, it does not compare.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
The exposure and advertising would help a great deal in promoting my website and work. I would be able to expose my site to larger fee paying search engines, and have more Optimization work done as well.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
The answer would be yes, everyone would be put on a waiting list, so that way in the end everyone did benefit.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
My website not being exposed, My website being down for a few weeks at a time, several times, due to viruses and hosts being down. The Computer also breaking down.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Organising venues for groups of people.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Word of mouth.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
There is alot of hype out there on having a website, and people are under the immpression of once you have a website done,and it goes live, everyone will see you, everyone will visit you, that is totally false and never happens, thats what I was told, and was abit shocked when I realised it was not true.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
My website has been online now for 4 years, I will keep it going online until I decide to stop working with people around the world. I have always said, it is not about how much money you can make, it is about the service you provide, and with my work, it is about helping people globally.
Can you travel with your work?
Yes I can, I can be in England or Australia and still do my work, through my website and also in person. I am not resigned to one place.
