Please give us a short summary of your website?
Introduces and breifly informs. Includes some of my psychic artwork,Auracatures, my mission, services and prices, & links to my blog and email, testimonials, information about me and where Auracatures came from.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
My clients required a place on the web where they could find me and access my services. I hope it will build part of my social network, the backbone of my business.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
I Launched my first website in 2004. It was a website that featured picture candy of garments that I made.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I just went by my name and my business name. I also created the Auracature. To date, no such word have I found.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
My site helps me build and maintain a relationship with my clients. I hope it shows who I am and that I can be trusted. Also, my artwork is completely fresh and new.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
I have 3 goals: 1/to work for national defence as a psychic advisor; tell my story; tour the world as a psychic artist and prophetic author/inspirational speaker.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Since it was free and I had time (being slow due to the winter blaws), it has been worth it.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would make it into a store, and a central hub for psychic care. My clients and I could access one site and virtually live there. I want a site that is like a house, where clients can spend time in the front store, art gallery, library, meditation room, and lounge. I would also like to be able to teach a lesson every day in the classroom.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
I am hoping that the blogs will help with that.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Not knowing what I am doing and fumbling around to pull anything off. Also, my office is in cottage country and I only dial up unless I go to a cafe or library. So uploading streaming video and my high resolution pices of art are impossible from home and time consuming (expensive) from other locations.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Learning this web stuff.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Word of mouth and business cards.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Not much attraction or use as of yet. It is quite new.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I may keep it as the original but I will be investigating another site to help with the next phase. To a degree, this is ongoing isn't it.
Why do you do what you do?
I do what I do so that I can live out my deal with the creator -- to aid in the restoration of creation. I was born with these gifts and the creator has called me reach out and spread out a liberating happiness so that all people may find in themselves the inspiration to smile.
